Re: What day of the month does your FICO most likely change

I've had MFSW since May 10. Here are my updates. A count and the day of the week.

1 - Sunday
4 - Monday
1 - Tuesday
1 - Thursday
2 - Friday
3 - Saturday
Volume of data seems far, far, far too low to draw any conclusions.

Re: What day of the month does your FICO most likely change

I have been monitering my credit for the past five years or so, through my fico.com, and I save all of the alerts that they email me, the most recent ones are as follows, so by looking at these numbers and dates, etc, the most utilized dates for alerts are on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. And a  large percentage of them are either very early in the month or very late in the month, ie; when the different credit cards update their info to the credit bureaus

This is the first time I have looked at these postings and after reading quite a few of them, I applaud the majority of the respondants for their focus and deteremination in raising their credit scores.

I moniter my husband and my score to make sure there is no identity theft as well as making sure that any and all information is correct. Our scores have fluctuated about 15 points in the past 5 years
at any given time. Due to credit card use and the balance that is reflected.

This is a great forum for everyone to learn from and it sounds like everyone is taking the right steps.

Keep up the great workSmiley Happy

Re: What day of the month does your FICO most likely change

Thank you for such a thorough review of your alerts.  Yes, it doe seem they come toward the end/beginning of the month mostly.  So it's now one week into July and I STILL don't have a single alert despite some significant movements on my part with my credit.

I am intent on getting my scores into the high 700s and I need these alerts to see what actions are rendering what type of score movements.  After that, there's not a whole lot let to do but pay on time each and every month.  Ironically enough I have two accounts which show me with no lates and I KNOW I have been late.

When it says you are 30 days late does it count 30 days from the DUE DATE, or are you considering late 1 day past your due date?

I know this may sound like a silly question...But do you have the alerts turned ON?  I did this, I was waiting and waiting and finally I read something here about turning the alerts on...Not saying you over looked it. Just thought it may be a possibility.

Redbud The CRAs don't condsider a payment late until it is 30 days past due from due date, I.E your CC payment is due July 1 it is late according the the Bureaus August 1.

Re: What day of the month does your FICO most likely change

That's not a silly reminder at all!  I had to double check myself but yes, I do have it on.  If I don't get something on Monday, I'm going to talk to a supervisor.  It looks like all of you get regular notifications and I'm getting nothing!!

Re: What day of the month does your FICO most likely change

I talked to Capital1 today and they will be reporting  my zero balance on July 11th, so if I don't get a credit alert then, I definitely know something is up.

Interestingly, they said that they report to the CA on the day after my cycle closes.  I need to call them back and see what they report on that day - only the balance, or if I made a payment by the due date.  If not, that would look like a late payment but yet someone on this board mentioned that "late" payments are those received 30 or more days after the due date.  That makes a lot of sense, but, it looks like Cap1 is reporting whether or not a payment was made by the due date...if not....it's not exactly 30 days late, so how do they count that?
