I left $1.00 balance on my capital one before the statement cut on the 21st. Well the statement cut and shows $0.00 reported and now it shows online as $0.00 balance but available credit is only $299 of $300? I did this last Monday to make sure all the lags were caught up and they were as of Friday. It showed $1.00 balance since last Wed, not pending, but a balance.
so now nothing is pending, the statement cut with 0% dang it, and there is a missing $1 in my account. Should I call customer service??
EDIT:
Actually, I just looked in my transactions list and this shows:
NOV 20, 2010 | CHARGE ADJUSTMENT | Other | ($1.00) |
So they adjusted it themselves to make it a $0.00 balance?
Yeah. I would call and ask them.
Just don't let on that you were hoping to report a balance and you're frustrated that it did not. Just your standard friendly, "Oh, what's this?" kind of conversation.
BTW, I've let $1 report on Macy's and Juniper and they've reported as they should - $1. ETA: Well, that's confusing. They reported it as they should, that is, $1.
I don't think I've ever carried a negative balance on my CapOne but have done it to the others from time to time to insure that a $0 balance reports. My Target on at least 2 instances did that after a month, but also mailed the difference between $0 and the negative balance. Maybe that is what happened? $0 and 0% should report even if you have a negative balance, but I'm curious as to if they wrote off the $1.
ETA....doooh...even after a day, I'm still the slowest typer.
Sorry, llecs,
My post had a dash in it, which looked like -$1. I've edited it. OP had a positive $1 balance.
I've gotta start working on my punctuation - I'm very fond of those little dashes. See!
I recall reading a thread on Fatwallet about companies canceling a bill if it is a small amount. It seems to be =<$1 for most.
Doesn't look like the quick summary has been updated in a while, but people are still posting to it. Take it back, quick summary is still updated.
