When can I expect Newly Approved Credit Cards to be added to my credit report?

Rebuilder here and haven't had credit cards for many years.

When should I expect the new cards that I've been approved for to be added to my credit reports?

The end of the first statement? The due date of the first statement? The day I pay my first statement?

Will each card first appear on all three reports on roughly the same day or will they report perodically as the CRA's decide to reflect the information they've been sent?

Depends on the lender. Sync and Citi can start reporting within days of approval. Amex and credit unions could take 2 cycles. Everyone else is somewhere in the middle.

it has been my experience that new accounts report soon after the first statement closes ...

Re: When can I expect Newly Approved Credit Cards to be added to my credit report?

I've had some report days after I opened them (including AmEx), but the majority of them are within a week after your first statement.

In general, statement close date is a much more relevant marker for reporting than due date. There are a few rare exceptions to this, but in general a few days after your statement closes, a card will report what your statement balance was to the CRAs. Presumably all 3 at once, but I do notice that they don't all show at the same time for me, but I have a feeling that that is more that each CRA does their own thing rather than them not all being reported at the same time to all 3.

Some cards, like Elan, report at the end of each calendar month (and show up within the first few days of the following month), regards of when your statement close date is... You could have a 0 statement on the 24th and post 7k the 25th... That 7k is what would get reported.

Chase both follows this rule and has an exception that if your card is paid off at any time during the cycle, they will make an additional report to reflect that (which makes Chase bad for AZEO, but good for cleaning up your report if something posted late).

It varies widely. In some cases a day or two after you're approved, in some cases 1 or 2 months later.

For DP's:

The OpenSky and Andrews Secured cards reported the day the first statement was generated.

I'm currently anxiously waiting for the Cap1 to report, the 2nd statement posting date is somewhat soon, so I'm expecting it to post somewhere around that time.

I can add a DP about Dover FCU. They reported the new TL within a week of approval.
