Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
1) Add him to your oldest account without blemishes that back dates.
2) Open up a SSL in his name.
3) wait six months for his file to activate with the CBs.
4) Have him grab a Discover Student and Amex. Both are young/ thin file friendly.
5) He should be sitting in the mid 700s 12 months into the build and good to go!

Any recommendations (or good sites) on how he can most effectively start to build his credit profile?
My advice would be for him to join a credit union, and get a secured credit card. After using that responsibly for 6 months he'll have a FICO score.
