cap1 data breach - account is currently restricted.

Because of the recent breach Capital one. Now all my account says "This account is currently restricted." Called but they asked me to send SSN, Diver license, and utility bill. What's going on? Anyone is experiencing that issue? I have so many reward points with them, are they going to close my accounts? What to do?

Sounds like they want to verify that the information on owner provided documents match what's listed on the account. It could be a result of the breach and they want to make sure that no unauthorized person has tampered with account information. 

You should probably comply with the request if you want your account unfrozen.

That sounds like fraud verification. They’re not going to freeze accounts because of a data breach.
