capital one combining cards

Hi everyone! I have cap one platinum card for 7 months already and recently was approved for QS with 39$ AF. (SL 300$) I was wondering if I don't activated QS would I be able to cacel it after 6 months and just add the  limit to my Platinum? If yes, what would happen to AF? Thanks

Re: capital one combining cards

You'd be better off to upgrade the Plat to the QS. Which you could check now since you've had it for 7 months already here: https://verified.capitalone.com/sic-ui/#/esignin?Product=Card&Action=ProductUpgrade  Then take the QS1 with the annual $39 fee and combine right before the year is up and a new $39 fee is charged which will then close it out. Then you'll get the 1.5% cash back on the QS and no annual fee at all. If your upgraded then you'll have two 1.5% cash back cards for now.
