quick question....

I am a victim of ID THEFT I have submited the the police report to the bureau but they wont take it... anyways they advised me to send the police report direct to the collection agency so my question is when sending the police report do I send copy of my social security card and driver license or not? or just the police report along with the fraudulent account info?Smiley Sad I am saying this because sometimes they used as a proof that I did opened the account

I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with Identity theft! What a mess (and a lot of stress) to have to deal with.

 

Please read the Federal Trade Commission's primer on ID theft, and follow their steps in getting a fraud alert placed on your consumer reports, as well as contacting the creditors for the fraudulent accounts.
