FYI - LN CBIS uses "Property" and "Auto". TU CBIS uses "Home" and "Auto".

Tell that to LN's consumer division, then... https://personalreports.lexisnexis.com/lexisnexis_attract_score.jsp

"Get your LexisNexis Attract™ Home Insurance Score and credit report for just $12.95."

"Get your LexisNexis Attract™ Auto Insurance Score and credit report for just $12.95."

(Yeah, they're inconsistent with the naming even on their own site - the report says Property, the checkout page says Home.)

Re: "Credit based insurance score"

Thanks for the clarification and the data points.

I like the idea of using Home for both LN and TU.

Elim,

I should have started from the beginning as many screens look the same.

You will not be able to get this score until after you have logged in as a member. Added log in steps to the above post. Hope this covers the missing steps.

P.S. Your Transunion CRA data is the only data needed to generate the TU credit based insurance score. The fill in the blank information above the score is only used for insurance rate estimates. You can look at how changes in that information affect rates but, it won't change your score - because score is based on CRA data at TransUnion.

Yes I'm logged in but this is my insurance tab on CK (after following your steps)... link here

ETA: thanks thomas, looks like I have some Beta version.  I have logged in to CK every week for 3 years and have never seen my ins score there. bummer.  thanks again  :]

Elim,

I think I found a back door link into CBIS through Credit Karma to get both Auto and Home scores. This one should take you directly there after logging in - no mulit-step navigation and more information. [would appreciate a confirmation reply from someone that the link works for them]

https://www.creditkarma.com/myfinances/scores/insurance#home

Hope the link works for you and others. Here's what you should be able to get:

TU CBIS Auto trend 10-2016.jpg

TU CBIS Home trend 10-2016.jpg

VS3 TU trend 10-2016.jpg

Notes:

1) I show a 52 point dip in Feb 2016 on TU CBIS Home score but no change in CBIS Auto score.

 - Clearly, the CBIS algorithms have differences.

2) Checking TU VS3 score through CK shows a 5 point spike up in Feb 2016.

For further comparison of models I looked at my TU Fico scores from 3B reports (see below). Many of the Fico scores show a major drop in a Feb 14, 2016 3B report in comparison to Dec 3, 2015 and March 25, 2016 reports. What happened in February to trigger such sharp responses with some models? I believe the drop relates to 6 of 6 cards reporting balances coupled with AMEX charge card reporting 49% B/HB.

Re: "Credit based insurance score"

Link works, Thank you thomas.     :]

Don't know why my insurance scores are falling all year. Must be the 7 new accounts in 1 year.  931 to 818...  eeeek

Re: "Credit based insurance score"

Elim. You are welcome.

BTW - the score you pasted is yout home insurance score. Your Auto insurance score is available as well by clicking the other tab.

The seven new accounts could be the primary cause of your 100 point drop on CBIS.

Credit based insurance scoring algorithms from both LN and TU treat new credit VERY harshly in scoring. These algorithms also look at average credit limit. So, if the new cards brought down your average that would ding score as well.

FYI - Here is a CK/TU score distribution I put together a while back for Auto CBIS.

Re: "Credit based insurance score"

I think I figured out how to get to where it will give you your insurance score.  But it makes me put in my vehicles like I'm asking for a quote.  Is this the right place or am I still lost.

I actually input my vehicles in there but then it said it would check my credit and didn't mention whether it was a sp or hp.  I know credit karma always soft pulls but this is a new section so just wanting to be careful.   Any advice is appreciated.

Re: "Credit based insurance score"

Thanks Elim.  I had tried that on my tablet and it did what I mentioned earlier.

Just tried using the desktop and took me right to it.  Thanks for the help.  Mine are Fair but considering all the new credit the past couple of years that was to be expected.
