sko brenner?

I am not a happy camper. I've been going around and around with Inphonic/Wirefly about this and they referred it to SKO over the summer. They said that I canceled early on my cell plan, which I have not, have sent them copies of my billing from the time I activated the number, sent letters to respond to every mailing I've gotten from both Inphonic and SKO, and I just keep getting canned junk back. I didn't know anything about CMRRR until I got here a few days ago. What should I do? They called to offer me a free phone (w/service agreement, of course) in Feb., I declined as I did not want another account opened, and told the person that. He then offered me a second line with a different phone, which I did accept. In the following few weeks, THREE new lines were opened for me. Alltel was great about cancelling the two that I didn't want or authorize, but Inphonic/Wirefly has been on me ever since. And the line they're hassling me about is the one I have as my second line, that I use every day, and have never paid late.

I'm a little confused by the process of going about getting this taken care of and gone for good. I want to buy a new car in the next year and do not want a collection on my CR.

Thanks for any advice!

Re: sko brenner?

This looks like a job for PFB. Sounds like you are dealing with a bunch of book monkeys that can't look at the info and produce an independent thought. See if you get anywhere with PFB.

Re: sko brenner?

I did write a letter on PFB the other day, I guess I don't quite understand how it works, though? Do I need to ask them to get the letter where it needs to go, pay them? I don't know the process.

Re: sko brenner?

well from the sounds of it, they signed you up for more phones than you asked for and then when you canceled the extra ones they tried to charge you an early cancellation fee. this is wrong wrong wrong, and someone at the company needs to undo all of this and restore your account to the 2 phones you actually want, and remove any negative history. someone in a position of authority at that company needs to review your entire account and fix this. this is the gist of the letter you need to write, and get it to this company's hq.

Re: sko brenner?

OK- I'll work on that today and try to figure out where to send it. Thanks for the advice; I've been pulling my hair out over this for almost six months already. I haven't checked my CR lately, last time was in Nov., and it wasn't on there, but keeping it off completely is my ultimate goal here.

Thanks!

Re: sko brenner?

you will want to check before you post your letter. if they have reported anything you will want to referenve that in the letter also. if they haven't then that's good, because if they report it later by mistake you will have proof that it wasn't reported as of right now. keep all your ducks lined up and keep any and all correspondence. write down phone conversations if you are forced to have them. try to do things in writing, even email, if possible.

Re: sko brenner?

OK-I haven't called SKO, and the last time I talked to anyone at Wirefly was months ago, when I was trying to get the two lines they signed me up for canceled. Unfortunately, I was not smart enough to keep the letters from Inphonic and SKO, although I do have my responses to them on the computer. I'll pull my reports today and go from there.

Re: sko brenner?

Here's something interesting...I googled Inphonic and see that in Nov. they filed Chapter 11 and were delisted from NASDAQ and sold off to private investors. Should I maybe just dv SKO Brenner and try to get rid of it that way? I can't find anything more current with a hq address or name to send a letter to.
