So my question is a bit complicated but I'll try to sum it quickly.
I was just recently offered a very big promotion at work that would require my family and I to relocate to a rather small community with absolutely 0 rentals within an hour. We'd need to purchase a home obviously due to lack of rentals but our debt to income is high right now (at my current salary). With my new position my salary would greatly increase not to mention a pretty hefty bonus that would cover all of our current debt.
In order to take this position I'd need to find a house but I can't pay off the high debt to income until I take the position. Is there anything I could explain to a possible lender about the situation to help my odds of approval? I qualify for a VA loan if that makes any difference.
