Conventional mortgage post chapter 13

So I have a question.  I realize that there is a 2 year wait after discharge for a conventional mortgage post chapter 13.  My 13 was 60 months plus 4 painful months after the last payment until I was discharged.  Basically, I want to know for people that have had a 60 month 13 do you have to wait until 2 years from discharge or can you start the mortgage process when the 13 falls off your report? Basically with possible early exclusion my ch 13 should be gone from my reports between November 2016 to January 2017  and 2 years from discharge is 6/2017.

I really dont don't want to go FHA because the loan limit is lower than what I'd need spend. Houses are expensive in my town the FHA limits won't allow for the size house I need to accommodate 4-5 bedrooms.

Thank you you in advance for your input.

Re: Conventional mortgage post chapter 13

You must go off the discharge date. For FHA, you can obtain a mortgage with the trustee's approval and 12+ months of perfect payment history.
