Hi myFico,
My question is, do I need to have absolutely no accounts that are not in good standing to apply for a mortgage?
My situation is:
1 - Cable Bill - less than $400, from 2010.
(TU and EX reporting this)
Moved out of home and roomates continued to enjoy cable, cable co. could not find me = turned over to CA
2 - Emergency Medical Bills (x2, $180 each), from 2007
(Only EX reporting this)
3 - Old Secured CC from 2007 - $150. Dispute I handled improperly.
(All three CRA's reporting this)
Do I need to "clear up" all of these in order to obtain a mortgage? And IF SO: All except the cable bill are past my state's SOL so I would think I should be able to do a PFD for them. But, the cable I would have to figure something out to remove somehow.
Appreciate any help!!
if you have a balance of good credit..... these by themselves wont stop you from getting a mortgage
most lenders will not require them to be paid either.
