In Michigan there is a downpayment assistance program for first time home buyers. I would be in need of this assistance to purchase a home. Do you know if you apply for a mortgage first or apply for the downpayment assistance first? I cannot find this information anywhere. Thank you.
in my state you need to do an 8 hour class and some counseling before you get the assistance so its usually done first then you get a certificate find a lender and start the process
