This is my first post. I am looking at purchasing a home and have everything handled as far as credit and most requirements. My question is about employment. I have a degree in health care, but worked as a volunteer for the past 2 years. I have accepted a paid position with the same employer I volunteered with effective Jan 1 2012. Does the 2 year employment requirement include the volunteer years or is it paid employment. I actually have a pre-qual from a lender but want to understand the verification of employment and W-2's since I didn't get paid during this time.
