FHA Down Payment???

I know in Jan. the DP will go from 3% to 3.5%....but in order to get the 3% DP...do you have to be approved...or closed by Jan. 1st???....

FHA says you just have to have the case # ordered by the end of the year but lenders may have their own guidelines on top of it.

Case # assigned BEFORE the new year....you can close after the new year.
