I am in the process of buying a home FHA 203K. FYI it was very hard to find a 203K consultant in my state. Actually on the HUD website the list consisted of only 7. If anyone is thinking about going with the FHA 203K please check and see how many consultants are in your area, and if they will work with you.
I have spent the last 3 weeks of wasted time , trying to get the one within 100 miles of me to come and do the inspection, only for him to email me at 11:29 last night and say " I'm sorry for wasting your time, please find another inspector".
I just wanted to share this. Find out how many are in your state and call them and see if they will even work with you.
We did find one today and because of his travel and mileage, we are paying more for the inspection, and that is okay with me, because we are finally getting an inspection.
