Great Deals on homes

I keep hearing about these great deals on purchasing forclosed homes at real low prices. Has anyone heard of these too? Are they legit? How does one go about finding out more abouot them?

overrated.

if it is a good deal, then people are buying them, keeping prices closer to fair market value

if you can get in and do some fix up yourself, then you may find some value.

my realtors advise: do not get hung up on foreclosures..... sure, look if a good one is showing, but do not discount seller owned deals.
