Re: Home equity loan

Which scores are typically used? Do they use the 2/4/5 like a mortgage or is it likely the 8/9?

YMMV.

Most home equity loans (HEL's) will use the 5/4/2 mortgage scores, but some will use a specific bureau's FICO 8.

With HELOC's it's much more common for them to use a specific bureau's FICO 8, but some will still go by the middle of the 5/4/2 mortgage scores.
