Re: How to increase my score by 4 points

Ah. Well, hopefully you find out soon!

I would not file a dispute though. That isn't a good idea while you're in escorw.

Thank you! There is nothing similar. The creditor stated on the letter that they can't verify the account number. But the letterhead showing the same creditor as on my report. The debt is the same. The creditor verified the history of payment.

In my experience of doing rapid rescores, the credit bureaus are very particular in what they will accept and what they require to update an account. I would not be surprised if they kicked back your letter because the account numbers don't match and because the lender states in the letter that they don't recognize the account number on your credit report.

Doesn't that make a case for removing the account on grounds of inaccuracy since FCRA requires only accurate information to be reported on credit files?

The letter is on the letterhead and signed by an authorized representative of the lender whose name is on my credit file.

 It's not a collection account.

Sorry, I thought the account was to be updated to show zero balance.

I would definitely prefer it being deleted but zero balance would work too!

Hi, now I got a letter from the creditor that has pretty much the same account number and the letter stating the debt is theirs and paid, just the last few digits different which is the type of loan on their system.. do you think the rapid rescore has a better chance now!
