I have a FHA loan thru Flagstar bank the rate is 6.5%. My credit scores are in the 750 range. Should I shop around a little? My down payment is small.

FHA at 6.5% is really high... definitely check elsewhere. With good credit like you have, conventional should also be a good option for you.

with your score 6.5% too high shop around better rate , don't go with them , don't worry about down payment .
