What is the Proof of Income for a Mortgage Loan?
Wrong section as you really need to ask this in the Home Mortgage Section here. But different lenders use different ways. That said W2's, paystubs, Tax Returns if you are employed. If you are self-employed Tax returns that they will verify with the IRS.

Hi @emmabella0781 , welcome to the forums ! I'd recommend doing a search on "Income" here in the Mortgage Loans board, there are a lot of threads with details related to self-employment, documentation, employment history, etc.. which should be helpful.

What is your source(s) of income? Is it fixed income like social security, pension, etc., or is it employment income from a company you work for and are W-2'd at, or is it self-employment income from a business you own?
Our credit union refi required W2s, paystubs, and checking account statements.
There were no gray areas.
After housing crash around 2007, things tightened up quite significantly.
GL!

Can I get a mortgage with pay stubs?
Yes, but its usually followed up with 2 years of W2s.
You'd have to reference your work history or maybe be a little more specific with what you're asking
Have you not filed taxes or something?

You can find answers to your questions by using the search feature. Good luck!
Most lenders are going to require your W2s and two years of tax returns, you may find a lender that does bank statement loans, AKA a stated income loan where you won't need to provide your lender with some of the typical documents needed such as W-2s and tax returns. Instead, they use your bank statements to prove income.
