Lender only pulling credit once?

I applied with a lender who told me I was approved through AUS. He said they wouldn't be pulling my report again as long as I close within the next 120 days. I thought they would pull again before closing?

They do a soft pull to check your credit again.

Not all do, I'm not even certain if most do.  Chase certainly did not for me but as always other folks MMV.

May depend who they're selling to.
