Stopped by the house last night to make final design choices so we can move forward with the pre-construction meeting. I'm glad we stopped by because the plumbers were working on the in ground plumbing that will go under the foundation. They were plumbing to put a full bath in the basement, which is what we did NOT want, we wanted a half bath. Putting a full bath in the basement would mess up the floorplan configuration we wanted in the basement. Of course the builder noted that we would've ended up with a full bath for free, but it's not want we wanted. The plan is to move forward with the correct plumbing today.
We bought our floorplan sight unseen. They are building a model like ours now, so the builder's rep walked us through that home yesterday so we can see how ours will look which was very helpful being able to see it in person.
Here's other pictures of the foundation. From this angle, I am standing in the entry to the garage.
Wow rookie, not sure i would have stopped a full bath install for free lol, bound to help resale value down the road (and appraisal). Our yard is fully installed now, the rear steps are about 99% done, just need some trim painted. They should be painting the foundation tomorrow.
We are almost done! They completed the brick work yesterday. Out inspection is this upcoming Wednesday and our walk through is Thursday. We've submitted everything to underwriting and we're praying for it to go smoothly and that we get a CTC.
We are less than a week away from our final walk through! The house is basically done. All that remains are repairs and touch ups. Some of the hard wood has been damaged so they will need to swap out a few boards. The stone work repairs will be completed early next week. Today is the county and 3rd party neighborhood inspection. The house looks fantastic, only 3 lots left in the neighborhood and its looking more likely that ours remain completely unique as no other homes so far have our elevation. On to the pictures!
