Hi OP. It's me again with my non-expert opinion. If you "only carry a balance on 4-5 cards" that would indicate a monthly minimum requirement greater than $0. You can find out what that amount is using one of the free credit monitoring sites. They will list each account's last reported balance and required minimum payment. That will be helpful in determining your accurate DTI for mortgage purposes.
