Mortgage while in foreclosure after BK7

I just tried to get pre approved and a mortgage company won't even try after telling him I'm still in the house being foreclosed. Being upfront about everything. Said even tho its not reported on caivrs yet the VA won't approve until 1 year after foreclosure, even tho it was included in ch 7 discharged 4 years ago. 

Is there any VA requirement in writing on this anywhere? Has anyone one been approved for a loan while not through foreclosure yet?

Hi Joe4551,
Tha VA guidelines do not require a specific time from the foreclosure when the mortgage is included in a bankruptcy. You are eligible right now as long as you have the right lender & you you don't need a 12 month verification of rent/ housing history.
