@UpAndComing74 as stated in the other threads, 5/4/2 does not react greatly to loan Balances or B/L. In contrast, they are very reactive to number of accounts with a balance. This is very different from version 8/9, which is highly reactive to loan utilization.

Update:

1. Paid off the collections acount and my middle score went up by 29 points
2. My utilization is now under 50%

So far these 2 actions above have pushed my mid score up 78 points. I'm 42 points from my goal.  This is all fico 8.  I was surprised the scores increased by that much after paing off and deleting the collection account because it had been on my report for almost 5 years.

Update

My utilization is now at 1% and my mid score is now 811 (EX.)!!!  That's a 191 point increase from when I started about a year ago at 620.  TU and EQ have also gone up by roughly thesame figures.  Many thanks for all your advise.
