I would love to since my credit is excellent, but we really need his income to get the amount we want. His income is higher than mine, so unfortunately in our case, the main source of income has the lower score. Go figure.
Might be time to put that 5% down payment about (~ $10k), on the student loan.
Then pay what you would be for mortgage, insurance, etc as the loan payment. ( ~ $1,000/mo)
