New Rates

Has anyone seen it.  I just checked the rates for FHA for the Texas downpayment assistance 5.25%/5.457%.    something in the water or what.

Current Experian Score: 634 (Lender pull)
Current Equifax Score: previous 668, 680 as of 11/12/13 lender pull
Current Transunion Score: previous 675,677 as of 09/23/13

im going FHA.   I know the rates are lower for conventional loanns,  I think there rates is around 4.5-4.75. This is absurd.

i was quoted 4.7.... im praying the increase in score that i expect in couple of weeks will give me 4.5.

Wells is showing 4.75 for conventional and FHA. The 5/1 ARMs are the only products still in the threes. 

 

The recent rate spike is highly frustrating.

Fixed mortgage rates usually cue off of the yield on 10 year Treasuries. We've actually see a tiny bit of pullback in that regard this week. The average on Freddie Mac 30 year conforming fixed dropped a tad to 4.37% after hitting 4.51.

 

Bottom line: you may see some modulation, but absent a statement from Bernanke that the Fed is absolutely not going to ramp down QE3 buying this year, rates are not going back down to any meaningful degree.
