Congratulations!
Congrats. I hope its contagious and spreads my way!
Congratulations.
Get that "earnest" proof in as soon as possible.
I would call your LO at least once a day to see if you've been "cleared to close," and have a closing date. You should encourage him/her to e-mail you that information. Loan officers are swamped with work--so you'll have to make yourself known to the LO. Of course, be assertive in a nice way!
"Cleared to close" means, for all intents and purposes, you've been approved for the loan.
Anywhere from about 2-3 days before closing--to the day of closing itself, you (and/or your lawyer) will receive what is known as a "settlement statement" (also known as a HUD-1), which outlines exactly the amounts of the certified checks which you much purchase, and to whom they should be made out to. There wil probably be at least 3 checks or so--10 is a possibility as well. If you receive the settlement statement/ HUD-1, you're even more "good to go" than before. I would have them E-mail the settlement statement if that's possible), rather than have them "snail-mail" it.
You should google "mortgage closing documents." You should find lots of information about what you'll need for closing Your lender's website (especially if it's a large bank) will probably have that information as well. .
Obviously, you'll need to bring identification (drivers license/passport) to your closing. Closing should take anywhere from 1/2 hour to 2 hours. Representatives from your lender and those whom you're buying from will be present as well. You'll probably want to do a "walk-through" of your purchase a day to a few hours before closing. Be prepared to sign quite a few documents.
I would also bring proof that you've satisfied all the previous conditions which your underwriter laid out for you, as well as the list of the conditions themselves (At my closing, I failed to do so, and the lender had lost/misplaced all my proof, so I had to do lots of scrambling--though I successfully closed). Appearing prepared always helps.
I wish you excellent luck and success in your closing.
OOOPs LOL...you have closed already--so my advice is moot
CONGRATULATIONS!
