I opted out in December '12, received and saved a confirmation notice, but I am feeling uneasy that it didn't stick or reverted somehow (sort of like when you press the button to cross the street, and push it several times to make sure.)
Lender shopping is next month. Is there any risk in opting out more than once, if I have opted out already? Or should I just let this go? Has anyone tried opting out after having already opted out, and what was the result?
Thanks...
I opted out twice bc I thought an online dispute might have ruined my opt out. Nothing bad happened. You know, you can also write in and opt out for life. That way you are very sure.

Great Scott! He's opted out 9 months into the future! How many jiggawatts did you travel at?
In all seriousness, I've heard of people opt out twice and never heard of them having any trouble because of it.

So I'm not sure I understand all this opting out talk. Is it good to opt out before shopping for a mortgage or can it have negative consequences? Im about a month away from lender shopping too.
