Rates changing at closing?

I am a first time home buyer and have been pre approved for my mortgage, good for 90 days, rates not locked. Currently my 3 credit scores range from 665-688, but continue to improve regularly as I pay down some debt and student loans. If my credit score improves more before I close, is it possible my rates will be lower than what's in my pre approval letter?

Re: Rates changing at closing?

Yes.  I raised mine over a certain number and they redid my paperwork and I got a better deal.

No I am FHA.  I will say that they can only change up until a certain point, then you need to lock.  I had time because I was a new build.
