Remove foreclosure notation?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but...

In 2008, our mortgage lender started foreclosure proceedings.  We were able to modify the loan and have been paying it ever since.  One of the bureaus is still reporting "foreclosure proceedings started".  Is there a way to get that comment off or do I just have to let it age off?

Re: Remove foreclosure notation?

Does anyone know if removing this is possible?  GW the lender, perhaps?

Re: Remove foreclosure notation?

You can contact the lender and ask that they remove the comment if it is no longer applicable. Did you get to 90+ days late on the loan at any time? If so, it is going to be treated the same as a foreclosure anyways though, so it wouldn't really make a difference at that point.
