Late update: We did close on Thursday the 8th and spent the weekend getting painting started, bedding delivered, washer/dryer replaced, gas leak fixed, house cleaned. All kinds of fun stuff. We will be moving ourselves in this weekend and the movers will be bringing our stuff from NY the following. We're so glad it's over and all the headache and hassle is absolutely worth it. My wife said that first weekend it felt like we were on vacation even through all the work we had to do.

Thanks to the help of the forum I was able to finish rebulding my credit in the last year. Within the next few weeks I will be in the 700's across the board. This has been a long loan proccess but worth the weight. We do plan to refinance out of the FHA once construction is complete. Thankfully the appraisal came in at 329,900 so plenty of equity for a conventional loan. I honestly could not have gotten to this place with out the help from these forums.
