Tax Lien

I am at closing and My lender wants copies of payments that I made to Ga State Office from 2005 until 2011. That is when it was paid off and it stayed on court record until June of this year when title search was done. I got certificate of Release and took to courthouse and recorded it. It is satisfied and canceled. I called State to get copy of payment and they will not do that and I do not have canceled checks from 2005-2011. Can the mortgage deny my loan ?

Re: Tax Lien

Your bank can provide cancelled checks and several years of bank statements reflecting these payments. Get what you can for as far back as your bank is able to provide.

Re: Tax Lien

I did contact the bank and they didn't go back any further than 7 yrs and if they could have it would cost me $50 per check. I contacted the IRS and they destroyed all of their info and tax returns after 7.
