Tri-merge?

OK, I am trying really hard to understand all the FICO scoring. When  mortgage lender pull your score, they pull a "tri-merge"? What exactly is that? Do  they see 3 distinct scores, and just take the literal middle score? Do they factor the other reports?

Thanks in advance! (And sorry to post two threads in one day!)

Re: Tri-merge?

A trimerge report is one that combines the contents of the reports from the three bureaus into a single report. The report is a 3rd-party product that is is sold to lenders. Lenders throw out the low and high scores and use the middle score.

+1.   Mortgage lenders are using the FICO04 classic score model.   Unfortunately none of the scores sold here at myFICO are this version anymore.
