05/22/19 - Attending the Homeowner's class this evening, all I have left to do is pay for the home owner's insurance tomorrow and submit proof. Getting nervous as expected closing date approaches!

I'm getting a jump on moving by throwing out stuff now.

Did they pull your credit before closing ?

I've got another question when you get a chance to come back  - USDA has my insurance estimated at 900 per year. When I got a quote from Geico, it was double that. Do I need to get the quote as low as USDA's or does it matter ?

Re: USDA Direct Loan - Pennsylvania **Updated 05/30/2019

If your insurance is higher than their quote your payments will be higher. Try to look around I tried geico and they estimated mine around $1200. I found a place that is only $515 a year, I got around 7-8 quotes before I decided on a place. Definitely shop around. Also don’t forget you have a pay a whole years worth of home insurance before closing so this will definitely benefit you too!
