VA Home Lon denied

I was recently denied a VA home loan. I have a general under honorable conditions discharge and served 1 year 6 months. I was discharged due to misconduct. Does anyone know if there's anyway to solve this problem or anything I can do to get this loan. It's pretty much my only hope of getting a house right now. I got twins on the way. Thanks everybody

Re: VA Home Lon denied

It depends on what year you served, if it was before 1979 it only has to be 180 days served as long as your DD214 states under honorable conditions, if after that date it has to be 2 years served.  Once you got out did you have any other service (Reserves)?

Re: VA Home Lon denied

Also, you mean to say that your COE was denied not your loan, correct?

Re: VA Home Lon denied

I got out in 2004. I just read that under my circumstances I would of had to serve two years. Thanks for the reply

Re: VA Home Lon denied

what does the dd214 say?

do you have va loan 'eligibility'?

if not you need to look at other options for your loan

good luck

Re: VA Home Lon denied

What are your details, you may still have other mortgage options.
Income?
Credit score?
Target home price?
Cash Available?

Other options are out there even with little money down.
