Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

PS: No one can know for sure if paying OC will keep it off your reports, since the CA is reporting, right? The CA needs to agree to keep it off your reports.....I'd sure think in this case that you could write an LOE and attach proof that this collection is old, not recent, to the UW. Worth a shot.

London dont laugh but for giggles have your cc report 1$ its a computer scoring all it knows is that you have paid down more debt.  Who knows if it just  might give a lil bit more to your score.Smiley Surprised

Almost forgot. I realize that your getting down payment assist but the girl you are working with must have a manager or supervisor.  Speak with the more senior person and see if that sheads any light.

Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

I do know her supervisor. On the day of our first meeting after my file being changed to another office, my broker had a family emergency and I did my full application and documents with her boss. He handled it for a while, then gave my file back to her. I really don't want to ruffle any feathers though, it'll just make things even more difficult. I guess I will figure this out somehow...

Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

Booner, they said they are verifying the debt but also gave me a reference number for their request they said they submitted to delete from all 3 bureaus. Also that they opened a dispute on my behalf, so what now?

Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

Marty, if I lose this house, I will have to pay off about 5k of debt total or let it fall off in a year, then try again, but prices are going up here, and I'm under contract for a 55K 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath newer build 2 story short sale....and have been since March 9.

Booner, yes I make sure the $10 is what reports. Actually I've been paying down (reporting) $1 less per month since March and last month reported at $9.

Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

Small victory, I think...

I was going through my report to hand write goodwill letters to some paid medical collections that I had due to a car accident that wasn't my fault, and I noticed that 2 of my "unpaid" collections for $101 and $35 listed on Equifax (my mid score) were actually PAID accounts listed on TU and EX I called the company (local CA) and the CSR said "No problem, I will list both accounts as "do not report". I asked if it will be for all 3 bureaus and she said YES! That takes care of 2 "collections" in one shot. Said they will update within a week or 2! Now I'm going to pay the OC for this stupid Embarq crap and call it a day.

Re: Well, I guess I'm about to kiss my almost house goodbye...

Success with another old paid bad collection on it's way to deletion! Also found out the medical that recently updated, DOFD was from 2005... They have been reporting as 2007, can I do anything about it??

Instead of paying the OC the $208, I called the CA manager that sent the response to the BBB and left her a message to call me so we can resolve the matter completely... SIGH! It's been a long day!
