When do they do employment verification?

When does the lender typically do an employment verification. 

My offer was accepted with a pre-qual on 10/25.

I dont close until 1/11. 

My annual review is on 12/14. I expect a positive review. 

Obviously there is always the risk of being laid-off but all indications point to long term employment in my current position. I will be going on 3 years. 

I am wondering when my lender will do the employment verification -- not until closing time?

Also, what if I get a raise in my annual review? That will impact my application positively I think right?

we usually order it first thing... as soon as it goes to processing.

that doesnt mean we wont do a quick verbal verification the day before closing though
