I have gotten pre-approved offers of 10.99 and 11.99 with HSBC, Capital One, Wachovia, and a few others. I would like to refinance my car loan from a lousy rate of 14.9% to a lower rate. I know the 10.99 and 11.99 still are not great. I have a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT with 63k on it. Fully loaded. Owe - $15,808.
Last scores were TU - 647, EX -621 (about to change because AMEX deleted my only baddie that was a collection), and EQ 590. FAKO scores.
I am hoping that TU and EQ will be deleting the AMEX collection on their reporting as EX deleted. I think it was from my gw letter from Dec 10. to AMEX. So I can wait a couple of weeks. I do want to get this refinance asap though.
Unlike other CUs, my local one stinks and I have never been able to get anything with them, even when I had 700+ scores.
If you have any others that may be good, please list.
