Re: fha loans

FHA will look at your credit history during the last 2 years.  Collections over 2 years old should not be a problem.  That doesn't mean you will be approved however.  Consult with a mortgage professional before you do anything with your credit.  If you have any judgements, well that is another story.

Re: fha loans

My experience with FHA is that if they are unpaid collections they will require you to pay them as a condition for approval.  If they are paid and over 2 years it should not be a problem.  Good luck!

Re: fha loans

Whether collections have to be paid or not is wholly dependent on the lender. Age and amount are important factors. I'd they think it's something that could cause a lean they are going to require it to be paid.
