how badly did i just screw up?-

Long story short i just signed up for comcast. I did it thru one of their sales reps he never said anything about a HP on my credit. Well today i see a HP from Comcast. I am closing on my house in like 12 days. What is the worst case senario? What do i do?

Unfortunately HPs are standard when opening Comcast accounts. You're PROBABLY okay because if asked you'll be able to show clearly that this wasn't some credit card binge but just signing up for normal household utilities.

I remmber a couple weeks ago i was told by comcast it would be a soft pull and i should just sign up. I told them no not yet i wanted to wait for a better deal. I ended up meeting a comcast rep at my job he got me a much better offer than what comcast has on their website right now so thats why i took the deal. If the bank wants to lose over 100k in interest off me beacuse of one comcast HP, i dont think i want to work with that bank. I am sick of mortgages though. Ill stick with my credit cards any day of the week.

We also signed up for Comcast and we close on the 14th. My last credit report had already been pulled but I still cleared it with my LO first. Weirdly, Comcast has not hard pulled.

...the hps that can send you back to uw are those that increase your debt ...an hp from a utility should not cause a problem ...but do warn your LO so that if they do a last minute check it won't generate panic ...hth
