Re: prequalify for a mortage?

Remember mortgage shoping with a 2 week period will only count as one inquiry as long as they are coded correctly.

You can still get quotes and discuss your situation with hard inquiries though.

Re: prequalify for a mortage?

Actually a prequal can be done online without a hard on any bureau.  This is usually done by ifno you enter into the system. Now if you need a hard money letter, they will pull hards.

Where can one do this?  It sounds interesting as I will need to move in an undefined period of time and I would like to see where I am right now

You can do it online at Wachova and I think BofA.  now if you need hard money backing you, you will need to submit to the dreaded probe.  There is a difference between pre-qual and qualifying.

Re: prequalify for a mortage?

Here is the Wachovia link

Keep in mind this is not a firm offer just a pre-qual
