County Federal Santa Clara is changing their name to Mirastar some time soon. The membership eligibility is very easy if not a family member, employee of a select group your eligible through the American Consumer Council no geofence.  As a result I will update this credit union to the non geofence and name in future update.

On a separate note:

I like the ownership of credit unions which is the members of the credit union. I have moved most of my banking to credit unions. I am in the process of asking the credit unions that I am member of theirACH limits both inbound and outbound. This will help me determine where I might be able to move the rest of the banking relationship.

I used American Consumer Council membership to join Service Federal Credit Union a couple years ago, they're primarily in NH and I'm in Arizona, really happy with them. For credit unions I look for good savings/CD rates and 1 day ACH transfers, that's usually Federal CUs. I do frequent ACH transfers for bank bonuses & other things, and hate how most banks make you wait 3 days for the ACH to post. 

Do American Consumer Council memberships expire? It's been 5 years since I joined for Service CU.  

And co-opcreditunions.org/ is a great service, I used to use a local CU in Benson AZ to deposit/withdraw cash from Digital CU in MA. (I ditched DCU when they switched to Plaid for ACH)

@DaveInAZ  Some credit unions will pay the ACC fee on your behalf. I just used County Federal in Santa Clara CA as a test. The text on their membership page Join the American Consumer Council at no cost to me. Not a recommendation .If you do have to pay the fee it is $15.00 and it is a lifetime membership per the ACC website. Some CU 's will give you a promo code to make the cost free.   I joined the ACC in 2023 as a lifetime membership. I have the certificate stored on my computer. Hope this helps.
