Amex Gold Southwest gift card cancelled

So I bought a southwest gift card to use the airline credit on the amex gold. The $100 credit posted, but I just checked and apparently the gift card got canceled. I did get the 100 from southwest back too, but this is bizarre. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

No, I’ve not heard of this happening on the forum. Perhaps give SW a call?

Have you found a resolution? I buy $100 Southwest gift cards with my AMEX cards with no issues. Hopefully, this is not the new norm.

No I didn't bother to be honest. I got the 100 back from both Amex and Southwest, and I didn't really need a Southwest gift card so I let it be.
