Cards that will fund a new savings acct w/out charging CA fee?

I know its up to the CCC.  Going to open a DCU primary savings that will allow $250 from CC to fund.  Can anyone confirm who hasnt charged them CA to fund opening a bank account?

Isn't there a usually Dollar limit though? So it's not like you can earn 2% on $2k transaction and then turn around and pay it off with funds from said account. lol

I have used Apple Card for funding AOD, DCU, and a couple other accounts. The beauty of Apple Card are no fees.

You can always call and set the CA limit to $0 on most cards so it's not a concern.

For me, I have used my NFCU cashRewards with no CA multiple times and I got dinged for a CA with PayPal Cashback.

I've funded 2 checking/savings accounts so far this year with the AOD card, and both times it went through as a normal credit transaction.

You'd be surprised how much some banks or CUs allow to be charged in order to open an account.

You're basically using the CC to transfer the funds. Instead of transferring directly from your bank account. I earned $120 opening two accounts with the same financial institution last year. Wouldn't have gotten anything, if I just tranferred directly from one bank to another.

Also had another FI lose my $500 deposit. Citi gave me the money back without any hassle. While the incident was investigated by the FI.

Citi DC is my go to for this. I like how easy Citi allows disputes if something goes wrong.
