Congrats on your accomplishment!  I am also working on becoming debt free.  Did you follow the Dave Ramsey plan (baby steps)?  That is what I am trying to do.

Hi, thank you! A month later it still feels great! Yes I listened to Dave every day to stay motivated and worked the baby steps; it really did help. Going down to $1k savings was tough, it made both my wife and I nervous. But it was the fastest way to knock out step 2. I think once 2 is done it caused the rest of the steps to snowball quickly.
