Re: Garden Club - April 2021

Home. Time to walk the dog, put away the groceries (I already unloaded the SUV), finish and fold laundry, then maybe nap.

Back to a seedling I go... Smiley Sad

My riding mower bit the dust, and so after a trip to Lowe's I have a new mower and a new CC.  However, I did manage to get one on clearance for $1100 off the original price - couldn't pass it up!

We can be seedling buddies, lol.  But as a clearance lover, I love that deal! Smiley Happy

Omg finally! I have 800+ on all three now! I was checking to see if I had any offers from DCU or Service (spoiler: I don't) and then I went to check Langley and EQ finally gained the 4 points it needed for 800!

Update just now TU reported that $1100 decrease in credit card balance and dropped my score by one point. Uggh

just wait until the 15th when I drop about $1500 on the other card.  I might dip to below 500.  But I paid two collections and about to pay a third so with time it should be fine. It's just disheartening to see big steps return negative returns

Are the paid collections a pay for delete?

One is and one isn't. Just having them paid gets a bump.  I'll let them fall off or maybe GW a deletion attempt later.  I just want all my bad ones to be paid and in the rear view and UTI down where it belongs so any credit attempt I can try to recon a bad decision.
also what's up with NFCU? I have my first card stuck at $2k   I tried a CLI 90 days/3 statements of $500. They said no soup for you. I said screw yall.  So I did what any rational person would do and applied for a second card they gave me $5100. ?????

since then that card got a CLI and the original one was turned down three times

Yep.  Did the math and all that money I was spending on annual fees would add up to a lot more nights at Ramada and LaQuinta.  Plus two cards is going to make AZEO a lot easier.

Congrats!, ..I heard "Ramada" is top tierSmiley Happy

True story - for a family wedding in BFE Louisiana, they secured a scary looking La Quinta for room bookings.
I thought I'd live large at the Ramada instead.

I'm still not sure if I made the right choice, though the roaches didn't seem to mind a roommate.

(there were no other hotel choices, because even 23 y.o. poor lab-tech me would've found a way to spring for a nicer place if it were possible).

I have stayed in La Quintas lots of times. I didn't see anything wrong with them.

I think this neighborhood is anti-Priceline. Tears are running down Kirk's face.

Re: Garden Club - April 2021

Hi Garden friends!

Short checkin as life is still looking like a kitten that unfortunately got stuck in the wash.

Randomly gained +7 on EX FICO 2 today, conjecture of a possible 2 year boundary on the "spree penalty" (you have recently opened too many accounts) for that score and I gained points last month and this month possibly as I had a single account tick over that 2 year mark each month.

Other than that nothing really to report.  Still closing in on getting squeaky clean and unless I pull an inquiry for a rental in Raleigh I will be spotless for those too.   I don't expect to be leaving the garden, if anything once I get settled in Raleigh I may just shut down the CSR or probably PC it more likely.  Cash back just seems more and more attractive if I am not traveling much for likely the next two years at a minimum.

Anyway hope all is well with you all!

Re: Garden Club - April 2021

I have to wait until at least 4/4 to run my quarterly report. That is when USocks should report zero, like they should always be.
