@Anonymous  awww, I'm no traitor.  Premier Silver (and therefore Star Alliance Silver) was a free gift from Marriott for hitting Titanium.  If I were really jumping ship, I'd wait until I hit Platinum Medallion then status match for Premier Platinum.

Because of environmental protections put in place over the last 25 years or so the seal population here has exploded in the summer months.  Where there are seals there are sharks.

Silver has some value...not that much since they watered down M+.  If they really wanted to reward you they'd confer at least Premier Gold.
