Never understood that. Why eat with two sticks? Just use one that is pointy and sharp for stabbing.

I was, at one time, rather proficient with chopsticks. I could eat anything with them. Went to a Japanese Hibachi House recently and nearly starved to death trying to eat my rice with them.

Depends on what I'm eating.

With stir-fry (i.e. - pretty much pre-cut), I enjoy the precision that the two sticks offer.

But sticks would not be my choice for a bowl of linguine or plate of lasagna.  Or intact tasty critter.

Big fan of foregoing utensils entirely.

Eating with chopsticks left-handed wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected.

Possibly easier than the fork.

But can you split the meat with them?

Didn't try -- didn't need to.  That said, I'd struggle to do that with my right hand. 🙄

I asked because a buddy of mine was showing off and he was splitting the meat and picking up rice one piece at a time. While I was in my corner shoveling everything in with a fork, lol.

Re: Garden Club - January 2022

Howdy, howdy boys and girls.  Happy Friday again!

Happy Three Day weekend, I hope!

I may or may not have to go in tomorrow to help with a project... thus far, they have it covered without me.  Smiley Happy

Glorious day at work.  Weekend crew came in... I got to ignore the production floor and actually do my own job for a day.  It was lovely.

Pay Day for both DW and I today... today is her first "full" paycheck... darn near 150% of her former "full" paycheck.  Smiley Happy

Rain this evening, turning into snow overnight.  Yeehaw!

Y'all behave!

@tcbofade

That is a nice salary bump.

And I'll only behave to the extent that I avoid aggravating my arm fracture.

Re: Garden Club - January 2022

Today, milk was once again available in the DC area grocery stores.  It had been absent for the better part of a week

Normally I wouldn't much mind, but I'm upping my calcium intake over the next month or two, and milk is, for me, easier than broccoli.
